StampNation Stencil Class Lesson 10

Lesson #10 is Heat Embossing with a Stencil

So I started with these floral cards and used translucent embossing paste and some old Martha Stewart embossing powders on the first one. I didn't let the embossing paste dry before heat embossing so there is lots of texture.

For cards two and three, I used perfect pearls powders to
color white embossing paste.

For this next series of cards, I used a new stencil and since I didn't have any heavy weight black cardstock on hand, I used black acrylic paint to paint some card front size white cardstock. On the first one I used Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder. Card two uses WOW pearl ep. For card three I took the stencil and turned it over onto a new piece of cardstock and rubbed off the versa mark that was on the stencil so I got a reverse image. It is embossed with Ranger Platinum ep.

I'm not crazy about the first set but I'm crazy in love with the second set. I love the metallic embossing powders on the black backgrounds.

Stop in tomorrow and check out this month's Year of Card Techniques Blog Hop.
It's all about inlaid diecutting. You won't want to miss it. Don't forget to comment to for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Blitsy.com

Stop back Monday through Friday for even more fun with stencils.

Happy Crafting
Theresa
